When I launched elliot. back in 2019, it was with the goal of creating something better: something softer, kinder, more natural.
The perfect rib tank. Your favourite everyday panties. A bra you don’t want to take off when you get home. All made with respect for people and planet.
I had been looking for simple, comfortable, stylish cotton underwear and I couldn’t find it. Anywhere. And as a designer I couldn’t see why comfortable had to mean ugly, or why simple and everyday couldn’t be beautiful.
Add to that a few years designing fast fashion, and I was needing to do something I could feel good about again.
So elliot. was born. Sewn carefully and in limited numbers, elliot. puts quality and sustainability first, producing timeless designs that are made to last.
By taking care of ourselves, we are taking care of our planet too.
Organic, sustainable, made with care for people and planet.
We think about what we put into our bodies; it was a natural next step for me to think about what we put next to our skin. Organic cotton really does feel better; it's softer, allows your skin to breathe and is much less likely to irritate.
Organic farming is proven to support biodiversity and wildlife, to protect animal welfare and reduce exposure to pesticides for the farmers and the land they farm. It could also help combat climate change.
So I source all of our cotton fabrics from GOTS certified manufacturers, which means that not only the fabrics that I use, but the whole supply chain of the fabric manufacturer is certified to the highest Global Organic Textile Standard.
I only work with small, accredited garment factories in Spain and the UK, to ensure that our machinists are fairly paid and have good working conditions.
And all of our packaging is made from recycled paper, so it’s recyclable, reusable, compostable and plastic free.
